Digitally remastered two-fer. This release presents two complete original LPs: ‘Nuther Fu’ther (AKA Stitt Meets Brother Jack), and Soul Shack, both of which boast a frontline of Sonny Stitt on tenor (and occasionally alto) sax, and Brother Jack McDuff on organ. These albums mark their first and third recorded collaborations respectively. Despite their strong musical chemistry – which is amply demonstrated on these albums, Stitt and McDuff would never record together again after the three aforementioned LPs, with Soul Shack marking their final collaborative recording.
